One of the issues we saw with titles on the Wii and Wii U were that at times, it could be difficult to port titles to these consoles due to architecture used for the systems. So far, we have heard many promising things about ease of use with the Switch, and developer of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap reassured this in a recent AMA:
Working on the Switch was very easy for us. The hardware and SDK are slick and modern. Of course, with the experience of coding games for 15+ years I had prepared for this in advance, way before we even had hope to get access to a devkit.
